CEP 812: Applying Educational Technology to Issues of Practice
Fall 2009
Instructor: J. Codde
CEP 812 helped us identify, implement and evaluate technology that is used in the classroom. During this class, I had the opportunity to create a Technology Plan. This course focused on the issues that may arise with technology: funding, support, time, etc... After reviewing these problems, I then created a Technology Plan so that I was not only aware of these issues, but willing to work through them to integrate technology in my classroom. Attached is my Technology Plan.

CEP 800: Psychology of Learning in School and Other Settings
Spring 2010
Instructors: J. Zheng, B. Thelamour, and C. Roseth
In this course, we discussed how learning can be construced at home, in school, during work and in the community. As a class, we looked how technology can be used for school and other settings. I was able to work with Audacity for the first time. I researched the impact of cell phones in the classroom and interviewed students to get their thoughts on using cell phones in the classroom. Below, please listen to the interviews I compliled in this course.

CEP 820: Teaching K-12 Students Online
Summer 2010
Instructor: L. Wolf
CEP 820 allowed me the opportunity to create an online course by helping me construct and implement a specific curricula. Using Moodle, I was able to begin building a Biology unit online. I decided to use the Cell Unit and was actually able to implement this coursework into my classroom. I wrote about my this unit on my blog as I was developing it.

CEP 822: Approaches to Educational Research
Summer 2010
Instructor: N. Sheltrown
Instructor: N. Sheltrown
CEP 822 was structured around educational research, allowing us to research an educational problem and analyze and critique other educational studies. As one of the most rigorous courses in my Master's program, CEP 822 was also one of the most rewarding. During this course, I created an Action Research Project focusing on the use of calculators in middle school classrooms. Attached is the research I collected and the conclusions I came to based on this issue.

TE 846: Accomodating Differences in Literacy Learners
Fall 2010
Instructor: R. Stanulis and G. Li
This course focused solely on accomodating different reading learners. We discussed different processes, practices and assessments that contribute to effective reading and writing. During this course, I was able to create a case study on a particular student and her reading and writing abilities. Attached is the case study I compliled during this semster.

CEP 815: Technology and Leadership
Spring 2011
Instructor: N. Sheltrown
Instructor: N. Sheltrown
CEP 815 focused on professional development strategies as well as project management and planning. During this course, I was introduced to TPACK, which focuses on the relationship between technology, pedagogy and content knowledge. I read many great articles about leadership and technology. TE 831: Teaching School Subject Matter with Technology
Summer 2011
Instructor: E. Byker
TE 831 has introduced to me many new technologies and how these technologies can be used many diverse classrooms. During this course, I created a digital story using PhotoStory 3, worked with Wikis and learned about Glogster. I was able to focus on re-purposing technology for the classroom and discovered many great ideas. Below is the Glogster I created to show students as an example

CEP 807: Educational Technology Capstone
Summer 2011
Instructor: M. Koehler
Instructor: M. Koehler
This capstone course helped me to reflect on my experience at Michigan State University as well as create an online portfolio. This portfolio will continue to be a work in progress as I grow as an educator. I am thankful for the time and help to begin this project and looking forward to seeing how my portfolio will change in the years ahead.
